This morning I was doing some heart work and reading Romans 8. My Bible is marked up with notes and things that the Lord brings to mind from time to time. When I came across Romans 8:37-39 I found a note that reminded me that this was my Papa's favorite Scripture passage. What gospel-depths lie here!
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nothing separates us from the love of God. Where we deserved his wrath, in Christ, we were gifted his love. A firm, assured, never-ending, always there love. The greatest love in all the universe. The love of God.
I am grateful for that reminder and truth this morning. I am grateful my Papa loved and embraced this passage so much. He showed me the love of God in the way he loved me. I am grateful for grace.
